1975 :
He studies Vibes and African balafon techniques applied to vibes, then creates
and manage, from 1977 to 1993, the CYCADE, a modern Dance & Music company,
with choregraph Pascale Vavrot.
Public and Scholar performance too for than 250 000 kids members, during 6
years tours.
Specialised in Live stage performance , improvisation and writing composition for percussions, Alibaux formed duet and quartets of drums, performed on various famous Jazz European scenes.
SINCE
1982 , he manages the "Alibaux Beau show", mixing choregraphs,
fireworks, sculptors and musicians, doing Outside multimedia evening performances.
Electronic music rising at this time, and not satisfied by musical material orientation, he decides from 1993 to 1998 to improve his knowledge in computing and digital signals. Developping psychoacoustics programs for wave brain synchronisation , used by flight pilots for relaxation and concentration, he learned to fly and became flight teacher, then exam 's teacher in ultra lights aircrafts and rotary wings autogyros.
Lots of
music have been composed for youth, video productions, theatre and live performance,
like "Magic house", "Showing gum"," etc…Melting
his knowledge in process and music with theater writing, he composed and performed
a Science fiction musical show, inspired of a study from Dogon's African mythology
:
" Sigui's celebration" with interactive detection of the musician
in terms of pressure, camera picture analysis, radar detection, etc, all driving
computer's software and samplers, for real time true improvisation.
In year
2000 is formed " HI drums" with young promising and open mind drummer
Arnaud Delolme : A drum's duo based on improvisation and contemporary
percussion writing, with a groove background feeling.
Alibaux restarts in 2002 the VIBES solo performance, with a 4 octaves deep bass vibes designed in collaboration with the famous Marcon vibes factory. After the successfull march/ april 2003 Vibes solo Tour in Thailand, Fabrice Alibaux concentrates compostion and new technical playing with Arnaud Delolme in the duet " The vibes & Drums", a natural evolution of the past drums duo, in which he mixes compositions for acoustic vibes and drums with true live improvisation.
End of year 2003 was the East European Tour of "The Vibes and Drums".
2004: In between concerts and music composition,F. Alibaux presently manages the seastar project (http://www.seastar.name) for an open mind field of contemporary living sculptures interacting with music, colors and sounds performances. Creation of the Goddess Show, New eclectric Vibes, some robotic dvpmt for Dance Company, East European Tour end 2004.
